If you are taking warfarin, you need to have a blood test to make sure you are taking the correct dose. The blood test checks how long it takes for your blood to clot and is called an INR test. The INR blood test is usually done by a laboratory; however, now there is a test available that allows it to be measured using a small sample of blood from a finger prick. Several pharmacies can now do the new finger-prick INR test and we are one of those special pharmacies! We can work directly with you and your physician to monitor and adjust your warfarin doses.  The test is complete in only minutes, and you will leave knowing your results and if any dosage changes are necessary.
